With only $2,000 and one brilliant idea, John Hatten founded the Mountainside Gym with 4,800 square feet fitness center in Mountainside Plaza.

The first ever location was in Ahwatukee, Arizona where the gym had a few trusting members at first. Today, it grew into a bigger fitness chain with branches throughout the valley.

In the beginning, Hatten closes the gym at exactly 11PM. He would clean the facility and wash dirty towels until 2AM.
